Abies Chiropractic Clinic has been providing caring service to southwest Michigan for over 30 years. We are conveniently located on Portage Road north of I-94 in Kalamazoo. We are open 6 days a week and have early morning, early evening and lunch time hours to meet anyone’s schedule. Nicholas Fedesna, D.C. (Dr. Nick) started Abies Chiropractic in 1978. Vickie Spencer, D.C. (Dr. Vickie) joined him in 1981 and Sheri Carpenter, D.C. (Dr. Sheri) joined our office in 2006. Here at Abies we provide quality chiropractic care in a friendly and professional, but laid back atmosphere. Our doctors are skilled in several adjusting techniques. We offer on site x-rays for your convenience. We also offer massage therapy from our certified massage therapists. They are available 6 days a week, including evenings and Saturdays. Chiropractic, for us, is one avenue to optimum health, (a condition where everything is in balance or harmony). Any imbalance ultimately leads progressively from abnormal behavior through abnormal function (disease) ultimately to an untimely death. Only 1% of the population is truly healthy. This means that 99% of us are out of balance or heading for disease. Pain is the way you body tells you that something is wrong and that you are participating in the above terminal progression. Pain is never normal, but always a symptom of imbalance. Many therapies are directed at the pain itself. Most of us have take drugs designed to suppress symptoms. Chiropractic seeks to locate and correct the cause of the problem.
Medical research has confirmed that interferences to the nerve system resulting from misaligned spinal bones (the Vertebral Subluxation Complex) cause malfunction of the spine and tissues and abnormal behavior of spinal motion and organ depots. Only 1%
of the population is truly healthy

We are concerned about the fact that, in the United States of America, we consume 300 tons of aspirin annually. Remember that “treating symptoms with drugs is like putting perfume on garbage”. Chiropractic has said “NO” to drugs for 100 years and will continue to say “NO” to drugs for another 100 years.

As you begin your care, we feel you’re doing your part to make this a healthier world. A whole body is stronger and more able to heal itself than an unwhole or disease body. Good luck in your quest for harmony. Yours in better health,
Nicholas E. Fedesna, D.C.
